Santa's Visits
I serve the Northern Colorado area of
Longmont, Loveland, Fort Collins, Boulder, Niwot, Firestone and other nearby towns.
Call me to discuss a visit from Santa.
Except for special situations,
Santa is not available on Christmas Eve
after
3:00 PM and not on Christmas Day..
I make house calls, party visits, attend business events and go to class rooms.
Visits may include Santa checking his "Nice" list. I
also show pictures of the reindeer and tell the true story of Rudolph.
If she is available, I will bring one of my elves with me (no extra
cost). Her name is "Halla", meaning snow. She says
she is 243 years old but I think she may really be a little older than
that.

Santa recommends giving books for Christmas. Read them with your children
or grandchildren. They (and you) will very glad you did.
Personal Note:
My grandfather never read me a book.
I remember that.
My grandchildren love to read books with Grandpa.
They will remember that.

Santa's Fees
Each year I set my basic fee
for a home visit or per hour for other events. I then discount down
from this fee, depending upon the situation.
For some charitable, church,
school or other non-profit events, I will volunteer my time if I am
available. For other such events I will significantly discount my fee.
Please contact me for details.

Providing
Comfort to
Kids in Crisis
In August, 2007, being semi–retired and enjoying playing with my 10 grandkids, I decided to go "Santa" 365
days a year. This allows me to be available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, to comfort kids in crisis.
After all, except for a loving hug from a parent or grandparent, there isn't very much that is more comforting than a quiet time with Santa.
My purpose is not to counsel, teach or preach. My purpose is simply to comfort. I have great children's story books I bring with me so I can read to a child. I
also know lots of songs, either fun or soft, that we can sing together. Or I may simply sit for a while, holding a hand and listening.
If you know of a kid in crisis
who could use a visit or phone call from Santa, please contact me.

There is never any charge for these
special visits.

What?
Your child doesn't
believe in Santa Claus?
Buy them this book and read it with them. It is one of the most
delightful books I have ever found. It is suitable for ages 8 and above but
MUST be read
WITH an adult.

Santa Phone Calls
Santa is available for personal
phone calls. All I ask are two things...
1) Please make a $5 donation to
help cover my costs with kids in crisis
2) Phone or email me to
schedule the call. I will want the first names of not only the child or
children I'll be talking to but also the first names of all children in
the family. I'll also need some background information on each child
I'll be speaking to — age, hobbies, etc.

Who
is John Chilson?
I am over 65, semi–retired
and live in Longmont, Colorado. I have over 30 years
experience in the business side of magazine publishing, both here
and in Great Britain. From 2001 to 2006 our family owned and
operated the Lyons Soda Fountain & Bakery in Lyons, Colorado. I
enjoy playing with my 10 grandkids — 6 boys and 4 girls — ranging in age from 15
years down to 1-1/2 years. My wife and I have been married for
over 45 years. We are active in our local Church.
As Santa I have volunteered
to visit children at Longmont United Hospital. The Hospital
has performed a complete background check on me. In
addition, the Hospital makes sure I have a negative TB test every 12 months and a current flu shot.
I have also had a pneumonia shot.
Personal and Church
references are available on request.

I want to thank you for the
wonderful visit my daughter had with you today at the Bavarian Bakery.
You are the most marvelous
Santa we have met. Here are some of her comments, "At the old place
[i.e. where we went last year] he wasn't as fun. He didn't have Holly
(one of Santa's Elves) with him! I even noticed the Jingle bell bracelet
she had on. He [Santa last year] didn't have his Jingle Bells to tell
about. He [you] told me what the Jingle Bells are for. That's probably
why I hear a jingling out my window on Christmas eve!"
You are very natural with
the children, and convey genuine warmth and enthusiasm for Christmas.
Thank you very much for your obvious dedication to a tradition that
means so much to kids.

Thank you for everything you
have done for my children this Christmas. You have made Allyssa believe
in Santa once again. It was great for me to be able to see my kids smile
and have a great time. They will never forget what happened today. It
has not been easy this year on them with having to deal with the divorce
and the tornado. You have made them enjoy Christmas. I will never forget
what you have done for them as well has making me smile to see them so
happy.

Thank you so much. You did a wonderful
job tonight. The children and parents talked about you non-stop after
you left. Saying, "What a great Santa!" Everyone was so
impressed. I love the fact that you made each child feel special. It was
just so great! I will be calling on you again next year. Thank you,
Thank you, Thank you.

Denise and I just want to say
THANK YOU for last Saturday night.
You
did a great job and
the kids really enjoyed it.
When our kids were young their grandparents had a Santa
come to the house but that visit paled in comparison to yours. We
especially liked the part where you checked your book to see if their
names were in it.
I have told everyone that I know who has kid about the experience
and will continue to spread the word about how great you are. Thank you
very much for what you do and the great job you do at it.
Halla
(the Elf) did a great job too.
Let her know that we also appreciate what she did.
